JON SATAVA

Jonathan Satava is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under the legendary Marcelo Garcia, being part of the golden generation of grapplers produced inside Garcia’s New York academy.  Regarded as one of the top prospects in the 82kg (181lbs) weight class after his wins at the Worlds, Pan American Championships, and World Pro in the lower belt divisions of the sport, Jonathan Satava solidified this claim at black belt with a double gold No-Gi Pan American performance, back to back silver medals at the No-Gi World Championships, a 3rd place finish at the Abu Dhabi World Pro and winning the North American ADCC Trials.

Having been an instructor at the Marcelo Garcia Academy in NYC, taught seminars across the globe, and been featured in jiu-jitsu magazines & instructional content, Jon is a sought after instructor worldwide.  He has now committed himself to share his 15+ years of knowledge, experience, love, and passion for the gentle art at Peak Jiu-Jitsu in his wife's hometown.
